Photochromic Sunglasses With Light Adjusting Lenses

Our Photochromic lenses adjust tint level automatically depending on the amount of ambient light, turning dark when it's bright, staying clear when it's not, or providing an intermediate level of tint in overcast or dull conditions.

Being UV-reactive they will not react to artificial light so will remain clear when worn indoors, even in bright conditions, providing the optimal level of visibility both indoors and outdoors. Our manufacturing process also ensures consistent tint levels and change rates across the entire lens, including lens edges.

Transition rates are from clear to maximum tint in under 12 seconds, and from maximum tint back to less than 5% tint in under 60 seconds. These lens are smoke tinted, a neutral grey tint that provides good brightness and glare reduction in all lighting conditions, and are UV400 rated - 100% absorption of both UVA and UVB rays.

Made from shatter-proof and impact-resistant polycarbonate, these sunglasses are safety rated to the AS/NZS 1337:1992 standard for medium (ballistic) impact eye protection.

The Fuglies Photochromics have a lightweight but strong polycarbonate frame, metal screwed hinges, soft side-arm grip tabs, a removable and adjustable strap with pivoting side mounts, plus they float!

Please Note: The photochromic effect is triggered by UV radiation so the tint level will not change behind a motorcycle helmet visor or a car windscreen because of the UV absorbing properties of these materials.
